Emergency preparednessEmergency preparedness includes responding to the findings, notifications and events which may endanger our safety. In case of emergency, STUK provides the safety assessment and gives recommendations and advice on how to combat the danger and minimise the detriments. Emergency preparedness involves co-operation between several authorities. The everyday co-operation includes 24-hour duty system, tests and emergency exercises. For radiological emergencies, STUK has a mobile laboratory, which has state of the automatic range tracking (ART) measurement, sampling, positioning and communication equipment. Measurement and analysis results are available at STUK almost in real time. Page updated 27/11/2008
